1. "Amour" Personalized Vintage Silver Necklace. This necklace is created by one of the many talented sellers on Etsy, a website dedicated to handmade, vintage, and/or unique items. This site has taken up much of my time, especially browsing through for wedding ideas, and definitely worth a look-see for all of your creative needs: art, jewelry, home goods, stationary, etc. I love the vintage look, the lettering, and the personalization on the back (which would read C-G-D and our wedding date 10-17-10).
2. Magnets + Jane Austen = Cat's Ideal Stocking Stuffer =) from Cafe Press
3. Paris Postmark Votives (set of 2) or Paris Postmark Ceramic Pot. Also from Etsy, these items speak to my love of anything with a vintage French aesthetic, even with just a postmark. I have a closet shelf devoted to candles and these votives would make a great addition. The ceramic pot would look so cute with a little delicate fern too =).
4. Look! Art History Fundamentals, 3rd Edition. This would be a good addition to my library, refreshing my writing and analysis skills in preparation for grad school.
5. Fashioning Fashion: European Dress in Detail, 1700 - 1915. This book is the catalog accompanying the current exhibit of the same name at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I had the opportunity to visit last month and it was amazing! I looked through the book at the museum bookstore and not only did it have a wealth of information about the fashions I had just seen, but beautiful pictures of the detailing of the garments as well.
6. Cognac/Brown Flat Boots. I've been looking for the perfect pair of dark, earth tone boots for 2-3 years now and I think I've hit upon a few viable options this season. I tend to really like boots made by Frye but at around 400 bucks a pair...the price is a little steep. Aside from these, there is an over-the-knee pair at Cathy Jean but no pictures on their website to show so here's some other examples. (I also included a cute pair of rainboots =))
