"My aim is to put down on paper what I see and what I feel in the best and simplest way." - Ernest Hemingway
Hemingway, in writing about his writings, has perfectly summed up the way I feel about paper products. Stationary. Greeting cards. Invitations. The spectacular range of fonts, colors, textures of the paper, and designs make me giddy every time the occasion calls for me to go searching for the perfect product. I frame cards that are given to me. I buy cards with no one to give it to. It's a compulsion. (Of the following cards, the middle two are from Papyrus and the top and bottom ones are from Wedding Paper Divas.)

And once I was engaged, I had all these beautiful thoughts in my head about the invitations, save the dates, menus, programs, thank you notes, gift tags...

I think I'm getting ahead of myself. Budget? Definitely won't accommodate all of my wishes and wants. So I'm extremely lucky that after several false starts I have found the most perfect invitations for me and D. As soon as we send them out in the next couple weeks, I'll be posting them on here and a link to the site we ordered them from because they are fabulous!

  1. I can't imagine how excited you must be!! Seeing your status on a social network is one thing, but actually getting to read about this is so incredibly wonderful for me! It makes me wonder what your beautiful wedding will be like.

I personally believe I am drawn to that same vintage elegance as you.

  2. Definitely eagerly anticipating the big whirlwind of a day! Exactly...snippets of info on Facebook are interesting tidbits into a daily life but a blog brings so much more depth to a person you may otherwise only barely scratch the surface of knowing =). Both has its uses.

Yay! It's nice knowing that the vintage elegant choices I make in design or style is appreciated =)
